The Grupo Barón Ley, composed of the Barón de Ley, Coto de Rioja, Finca Museum, Máximo, Dehesa Barón de Ley and Viñedos Barón de Ley companies, has received the “Chairman's Selection Award” in the European Business Awards gala held in London.
Thirteen European businesses have received this recognition which rewards excellence and innovation in companies from different industrial sectors from all over Europe, and only two of them are Spanish. in particular, the prize given to the Grupo Barón de Ley is the “Chairman’s selection” and corresponds to a special award made by the chairman of the competition.
The winning companies have achieved their success after 16 months of assessments in one of Europe's most difficult business competitions , which this year attracted over 24,000 companies. The awards ceremony for these exclusive prizes in London was attended by leading business figures, politicians, ambassadors and academics from all over Europe.

In this year's competition all the EU member markets were represented, as well as Turkey, Norway, Switzerland, Serbia, Croatia and Macedonia. The combined income of the participants was over 1,500,000,000,000 €, together they generated profits of over 60 thousand million euros and they employ over 2.5 million people.
The European Business Awards are being held for the ninth time and their main goal is to support the development of a stronger and more successful business community throughout Europe.
